In the late 1960s, the first disc golf course was created. The first known course was created in Pasadena, California’s Oak Grove Park. Disc golf is played on a course that usually has 18 holes, with a metal basket serving as the objective on each hole. The game’s goal is to finish each hole with the fewest throws possible. With beginner-friendly equipment available for less than $20, disc golf is a reasonably priced activity to take up. Professional and amateur disc golfers compete in tournaments worldwide, making it a sport with a sizable and vibrant competitive environment. Every year, the top golfers from across the world compete in the PDGA World Championships to win the title of World Champion.
